Hello,
Last Wednesday I was able to get a Deloitte job referral, I applied the next day. Yesterday I signed in to my account and it shows that I applied for the job but when I click on the link it show me an error page. I searched for the job on the website itself and it disappeared. There were like multiple positions but different locations, now they’re all expired. What does this mean? Did they choose a candidate already? It’s weird it never happened to me before
Thank you in advance 🙏🏻
Please DM if interested asap

You're supposed to take responsibility not wait for it
@OP We can read just fine. You didn't originally mention anything about your efforts for better tasks, so don't hate on EY2. It may just be your project that has a strict hierarchy and client communication plan, but every project dynamic is different so be patient. Or you may an attitude problem as you've shown here.
Idk maybe it's just an EY thing but I found that if you ask enough and prove yourself you can get more meaningful work even as a staff. Probably depends on the manager and stuff though
OP your argument is killing itself. You're asking, advocating, etc. Challenge what you're considering above and beyond and just do it. If you don't want to question how you're doing things, that's obviously your choice. At the end of the day, there's a reason each firm is still in business and growing so the weeding out process works.
@EY2: Can you read? I constantly advocate for extra work, go above and beyond, and think ahead for what the team needs. I'm tired of FBers like you that always seems to blame firm issues on staff and state obvious "advice." Some of us are perfectly competent and experienced, I'm just less used the bureaucracy/politics (whatever you want to call it) than you are.
Maybe it's easier at EY like EY1 said, but I've literally been told "don't worry about that, it's not your job." I've also been told I can't sit in on meetings I want to learn more about or be looped in. I've asked to be included on emails (pricing) to learn more and been told no.
If you want more targeted advice from here, it's better to give the whole situation and the methods that you tried and why they failed / what the response was.
First, guys take a chill pill. Second, I don't know the culture at Deloitte but based on what I've seen in the legacy pwc groups, hierarchy is huge so you need to overcome that. As D1 said, projects, managers, directors and partners are different. Also, keep in mind that some decisions are made out of practicality and confidentiality. Take pricing for example, firms are pretty jealous of their price points and people talking and ranting about them at FB doesn't help. Find the people that are willing to open up with you and have the conversations you want to have. Finally, you are right, smaller nimbler firms require staff to do a little bit of everything. There are pros and cons

I can second EY1. It's been very easy for me to get tasks and perform at the next level since day one.
Start looking for something else. It never hurts because then you take back the control of your life
Sorry if it was unclear, @D1. Thought it was implied when I said they're not supportive or me taking on responsibility, not saying I wasn't given it out of the blue.
I don't have an attitude problem, thanks for the assumption. Just frustrated when FBers make quick dismissive statements. I've mentored people new to consulting myself and don't understand why so many people here seem to make snarky statements instead of choosing to be helpful.
