Friends out in the bay at McK say they never go to the office, so if you want to live in SF, live in SF. You seem to be in a specific practice, so you could ask around in the practice for how much they go in.
I lived in Redwood City - it has a cool little downtown area with restaurants, but it’s very little (maybe 4 blocks long). Many young people who work in Redwood City live up in San Mateo (the city - Redwood City is the county seat of San Mateo county), which has more options for non-hiking activities.
Good to know, thank you! I'm definitely leaning towards SF or San Mateo with all these details.
Why don’t you just stay in Redwood/San Mateo area? Closer to South Bay, good food, nature, etc. SF is overrated
Don’t move to Fremont/Milpitas and most of SJ - just boring residential neighborhoods.
San Mateo, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Redwood City are your best bets. None of them will be comparable to SF but you’re a reasonably short train ride away. And they’re pretty nice places to live
Depends on where in SF, the further north and west you go the harder it’ll be. Regardless will take you an hour plus. (it says 1h10 mins from my place right now)
No chance you can get into the SF office?
Mck1, what's your home office and title? A Junior Specialist from NY told me they have to go in everyday
