I got job offer for CX delivery manager for higher package 38 LPA from hr. They said it’s 12 month contract and can be extended

Just wanted to know do they generally extend the contract or it’s just for short time project only.. I don’t want to fall in the high salary trap where they just give high salary and once the project is over they lay off

Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think?
