McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

Oh please, P1. This is maybe a month or two blip on the radar. If the firm were to do this it’s incredibly shortsighted. It costs much more to rehire and train new people than to wait it out a month or two. It would just be terrible business and decision making for them to lay off.
Although, since getting into this industry it’s shocking to me how most decisions made by these firms are like they’re running a business in the 1980’s. Nothing would really surprise me.
There are quite a few companies now hiring. They realize once this ends in a month or so business will go back to normal if not drastically increase. That is what you call good decision making.
I don’t think the entire company will get laid off. Some people may get laid off. But i wouldn’t stress yet, especially if you’re junior. You’re restaffable and not that expensive (unlike well, me...😓)
Also I would say it’s not just yet. Work did not stop. Travel stopped. Projects still are going until further notice. So make sure u show your value through Skype 😂😂😂😂
Not yet
You all wanted this. What did you think the consequences would be from not traveling to your clients and “social distancing”? You can’t have it both ways.
Overwhelming probability that your health will be fine.
If it continues past a month or 2 it could get bad for sure.
Not all.
