I’ve been having a bit of trouble working with one partner at a new firm. There are definitely things I can/need to work on for improvement, but I’ve been practicing for four years and have had no trouble with other partners/peers before. This partner sent an email to me with bills for one client of his/hers I worked on and now looped in a practice management person to have a ‘management call’ (prob to talk about billing less..) Should I be looking for other opportunities?

Looking for some boutique firms (healthcare/public health sector) that do work relating to social determinants of health, community health centers, population health, community hospitals. Any suggestions?

Does anyone else feels like the job market today is like the 2013 Real Estate Market? It is a buyer’s market. It’s saturated with jobs, but no one wants to work. And recruits are not taking advantage of the ones who want to work.

I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.

Joined pro a few months back in TC, I notice that the all the talks of big growth etc. was just talks. Have not had any decent project lined up and been sitting idle for past month. Also, majority of existing projects are Risk, audit and compliance related or we are trying staff aug / managed service (outsource). What is up with this, contemplating if I made the wrong decision to join pro from Big 4.

I have only one week left to join @morgan Stanley however there is no email communication (like onboarding email,to whom to report,where to go) from hr side.i am little worried does anyone know

I have got an offer letter from Morgan Stanley for the QA role in regulatory reporting. Currently I am in a BA role with 7 yrs experience. In MS they are giving a good hike (45%) plus joining bonus. Not sure at this stage should i switch from BA to QA role.

This is twice now in back to back weeks my boss has asked me where the disconnect was in our communications because I didn’t deliver on what “was asked”, even though I know damn well what was asked and what was done were the same thing. I’m not sure if he’s changing the meaning or isn’t communicating what he’s envisioning or what but it’s embarrassing to be called out like that, and to have people think you’re the dumb 23 year old.
