I had a final interview last Thursday and was told I would hear back Monday or early this week. I still haven’t heard anything, how long should I wait until following up with the recruiter?

I interviewed for a role with the Enterprise Risk Team at EY. I told them my salary requirements were $105 k before the interview. They said it should be ok if I'm brought in as a Senior 1. After the interview, they said they want to bring me in as a Staff2 at $84k with $3k signing bonus. I'm trying to get on a call to negotiate further...do these numbers sound right to you all?

Like seriously, how is one able to comfortably support themselves in the Bay Area on these new Analyst level salaries at Deloitte? It's not like we're doing anything different than Consultants and most Senior Consultants. TBH it's kind of insulting, and makes me want to get a second job for me to earn enough to live comfortably and save for retirement.

Have heard anecdotally that work can be uninteresting and career progression suspect, but seems like a very chill, high paying exit. Does this differ greatly if it is technical PM?
