I had a FAANG final round on Monday, and I just got a final round at another company. FAANG is my first choice. I once successfully put pressure on MBB to expedite my process because I had an *offer* from another company, but would it hurt to reach out to my recruiter with something like "I am absolutely confident after my interview with X that if Y offered me this job, I'd 100% accept their offer without hesitation, as long as I receive Y's offer first," if I don't yet have the other offer?

I come from a target school in India (say MBB / T2 hires from my college every year) with ~1 YOE in consulting - based in Dubai. Would the stated firms consider me for a BA role (lateral hire as an experienced BA)?

When I was hired, I don't recall being informed about my salary being tied to my location. My employment contract also only makes one mention of location, and says "home office" and my state. I was recently told by HR though that if I move, my comp. will be lower. Is this legal? Should I consult a labor lawyer?

In my mind, I don't recall being told this and it's not clear from my employment contract, so I feel like they're breaking our agreement, and it feels unfair.

Rant: my boyfriend is so annoying with this diet! I GET IT. You want to eat healthy! But when you have your friends at our place every other weekend they order pizza and you devour most of 2 boxes! So physically and mentally tired, I don't know how long I can keep up with work anymore. Told my senior management that I'm burning out, only to be blessed with another secondment. I now have two going at the same time, plus other client work, new business work, and managing scroundels.

Growing up was rough. On my 8th birthday my dad had an accident that led to this death a few days later. He was a good man who took care of us all (I had 3 siblings now 2; lost 1 few years ago). I'm in a good place in life right now I only find myself in the last 5years shedding a tear once a while when I'm alone. It startles me because I was a tough kid who didn't cry and just soaked it all in and rolled with it. I'm almost 40 and can't explain what's happening with these tears.

Getting over heartbreak and having a full time job is torture lol. My boyfriend and I just broke up after almost a year of being together. I struggle with my mental health and my biggest weaknesses is not being attentive to details and having strong interpersonal skills. Those two factors are is the reason I feel I am failing at my job. I had the weirdest dream. Criminals were put in a gated community under observation and they had to successfully fake their own death to get out. They were given too many drugs and alcohol. I love my wife being a stay at home wife even without kids. She seems so much less stressed, does things she enjoys (like cleaning, laundry ((yes I don’t know why she likes this stuff), yoga etc). I financially support her and I feel more like a man.

My VP asked my fellow team member to take on a task simply because of her race to help them land a grant renewal. We’re both women of color but since I didn’t match the target audience I was not asked even though the task is on a project I am overseeing. We’re both offended with how this was handled by the VP, are we overreacting?
