I tried all of the things, the oatmeal cookies were delicious- did they work, questionable! just enjoy your baby, feed them what you can and if you need to supplement with formula it’s not a big deal- don’t beat yourself up
OP a beautiful reason to push on thru. You got this. Stay positive.
Soak 1 tsp fenugreek seeds overnight in water and drink the next morning - chew the seeds and drink the water. Some people drink just the water. Read up on all the details online. It definitely works.
Oatmeal, Japanese sweet potatoes (the purplish ones with white insides), lots of water and rest, 미역국 (the Korean seaweed soup if you’re Korean) and pumping as often as possible in between breast feedings. Get your boobies on a schedule. The stress will definitely impact the supply. So try to meditate before feedings. They say to look at newborn pictures while pumping :). Good luck mama
Have you looked into power pumping? It helped me get my supply back up when mine dipped right around the same time. Pump 20 min, 10 min off, 10 min on, 10 off, 10 on. So an hour total, 40 of which is pumping. Did this nightly for a week and saw results. I still do it a couple times a week (after the baby is asleep, while watching tv). It’s a lot but it helped.
Also look up How Sweet Eats Lactation Cookies. Who knows if they actually helped but they didn’t hurt, and they are delicious!
And of course, hydrate like crazy.
Agree with power pumping. Fenugreek 4 caps x 4 times a day. Mothers milk tea.
Add oats & oat milk to everything you can stand. I was a just enough-er with my 1st and found an the addition & increase of oat milk with my 2nd, helped a lot.
It’s a really great alternative!
(Especially for cereals and smoothies!)
My go-to lactation oat milk smoothie:
8-10 Oz of oat milk, 1 whole banana, 1tbsp almond butter, 1/2 tbsp of brewers yeast, (sometimes chocolate syrup to taste, or a tbsp of chocolate ovaltine)
I ate lots of lactation cookies (milk mama I think and easy to do since they’re good lol), ate oatmeal for breakfast or lunch, added ground flax seed to my smoothies, drink lotsssss of water
Lots and lots of breastfeeding, and then lots more. Also power pumping. But also remember if it doesn’t come back up formula is always an option to keep your baby healthy. I had a dip in supply after ~3 months and did EVERYTHING possible and nothing worked and it was so so disheartening. But eventually I made the switch, really grieved the end of BFing, and my sassy little toddler is thriving.
