I'm in Silicon Valley, and been in the industry for about 15 years now. Fell into the corporate in-house role and been in those ever since. I primarily do marketing/brand design. I'd love to get to AD level, but I think my main issues has been that I rock the boat a lot and don't play the "corporate game well", piss off the wrong people. Does anyone have any advise for how to advance in corporate environement while keeping the integrity of creative alive?
Considering leaving Bain with 2 years in SM role, HSW MBA, and 11 years since undergrad. Google role is non-technical Cloud Strategy. Unsure of title or level at this point - called "lead" but contact indicated flexibility. Would be remote in a non-SF/NY location. Mgr indicated it was technically an individual contributor role though I would be managing 2 people. What comp/level should I expect (Assuming L6?)? What is the significance of the IC role if I'm technically managing 2?
Any fish familiar with Apple's OPD group? Thoughts on potential exit and expected base comp? MBA with 5 YOE, seems like it might be a step down from MBB Associate comp but tempted by tech exit and work life balance...
FYI- We are hiring a Media Buyer (TV/Radio experience required) and a Copywriter! Remote/WFH with no plans in the near future to return to office.
Hello Googlers, what’s the TC for the position Business Systems Analyst, Salesforce Transformation Architect at Google? Requires >12 YOE. Also can someone tell me what level is this position?
Coming from a big 4 - Can we mention the names of the clients we have worked with over the years when interviewing? I am at a boutique agency now working with some people who came from Accenture and some other consulting companies and I noticed that they will reference their clients by brand name. If it is a past project and you do not give any client sensitive information is it OK to share the names of the brands that you've worked with in your previous role? What's standard?
Applied for an in-house position last week. I think I am a good fit. Haven’t heard from the big tech company. I briefly worked for the director of that group a few years back at a different law firm and we are connected on LinkedIn. Should I reach out to her? What should I say?
Hi all - I’m working as a Jr AE at a remote agency. Before full-time at this agency, I interned there for 2 years and often did pro-bono work. I love my company so much, but I often feel stuck when it comes to salary and growth. The salary is minimum wage and every time I ask about a raise they agree I need one but never get around to it. Today, I was offered a position at another agency as a remote AE with more than double my current salary. I didn’t seek this job out but don’t know what to do.
Need referral for McKinsey & Company for implementation consultant role. Does McKinsey do lateral hires in Utility space
Has anyone left for another big4 with the intention of returning later? I’m being offered a manager role and a nice pay bump at the same practice at another firm. I can tell their leadership doesn’t h
I’m a senior accounting student and I have the opportunity to interview for a matter management internship role at a law firm (activities involved in managing all aspects of the corporate legal practice. ) Would this be a good opportunity to get me into risk analysis/ FP&A one day?
I posted in the Healthcare bowl but didn’t get quality responses. PE is notorious for being difficult to break into unless you’re IB. However, there are success stories of consultants making it. Healthcare consulting is lucrative because it requires a very niche knowledge base that is honestly rather difficult to acquire. I’m wondering if that niche knowledge base would make it easier to exit to a healthcare-focused PE firm. Thoughts? Also, general tips for moving to PE would be helpful!
I'm a Senior Account Executive, but my tasks lately make me feel like I've taken on a smaller role. At any of your agencies what are your SAEs responsible for? I want to make sure I'm progressing in my career.
What are the ultimate consulting exit apps (I.e? specific role/team & industry) for the non-technical consultants? Looking to understand the exit opps available that: 1. Pay in line with MBB or exceeds (YOY raise is also in line with career and pay progression at MBB) 2. Have reasonable hours, at most 9-7 so I can pick up some hobbies and have a personal life 3. Have great global brand/prestige that will make me as desirable exiting consulting now vs exiting that company in the future
Been working in PA for 2 years. No prior internships or business related work. Is it okay that my resume is just my associate role with like 15 bullet points? Not sure how to fill in the blank space, and it feels super lame to bring in non-relevant college jobs. Can I include ways I'm involved at the firm like mentorship and diversity initiatives?
Anyone who wants a referral to Deloitte USI can DM me or send in your resumes to firstname.lastname@example.org Pls do mention the key skills, phone number, email id & your current location in the email.

Imposter syndrome is so damn real (and sad). 75% of the time when I am presenting, talking through, responding etc work or thoughts I feel I am “so off, this isn’t right”. Then all it takes is (cont.)
Poll - Have companies started travel to client sites? Which companies? I know Deloitte team members are traveling. Also, I see a new trend based on interactions with a few people. Most prefer remote
Tips for how you’re accumulating wealth with absolutely no financial inheritance/intelligence from parents? I want to retire early but am late in the investments game. I have a Roth IRA invested in a target date fund, max out my HSA and invest in REITS and ETFS, and contribute more to 401k when I have leftover $$. What do you guys do? Am i missing any smart moves here?
What are associates with roughly 2.5 YOE making in Los Angeles? I’m making $81K but feel like with insurance, student loans, car payment, rent, etc I am unable to save anything and am so stressed.
Used to be in a quant group. We had an underperforming staff who we let go. He claimed to HR he was discriminated against bc he was an MBA. To which they responded: that's not a protected class.
would it look bad to go from UG to 1 yoe in industry to 6 months at tier 2 to starting at mbb? concerned it is too much job hoping that may be looked down upon in mba apps or PE recruiting

I'm 7 months in and doing a really bad job at my current project because I hate consulting and the job itself makes me really miserable. I feel really helpless and don't know what to do because the worse I do the worse opportunities I'll get at this firm later on and then I won't be able to leave. I've been interviewing with some other companies but no offers so far, afraid I won't get any because I'm leaving so soon. Truly feel so helpless and lost, I really want out.
Will it hurt me in the long run to have comms experience in different industries? My agency is hiring and I'm watching folks at all levels who would otherwise be qualified for a role be disqualified because their experience isn't solely in the tech/B2B space. I enjoy the work I'm doing now but I'm still so new to my career that I can't help but be curious about working in PR for fields like entertainment or consumer. FWIW, my internships were all fashion PR and I didn't think I'd be in tech.
CTS has offered me 10.05L fixed + 45k variable. What will be the monthly take-home salary after all deductions?
“If after Sept. 1, employees want to work remotely for more than 14 days per year, they will need to formally apply” So their employees can work 1 remote day per month basically? Did not expect this from Google tbh, and I know many companies have been following Google’s guidance when it’s come to remote work during the pandemic
I'm an entry level consultant in Dallas at a smaller company. This is my first job in consulting and I've been here about 7 months. My experience has been good in terms of work life balance, autonomy, and culture. My only real issue is my compensation. I was happy with it at first, but with the workload and expectations I'm feeling undervalued. My base is 82k, 5k signing bonus, no annual bonuses or anything. Im wondering if I should start looking elsewhere or if I'm just getting greedy
