Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.

I made a similar transition a few years back. Here are some points I can share:
- Phrase your accomplishments to avoid BA-specific language such as "gathered and elicited requirements", "as is to be flows", etc. and focus on impact delivered.
- If you have a core skills section, ensure that you've added PM-specific keywords.
- Be open to landing entry-level roles such as Product Owner or Associate Product Manager.
- Be open to any company. At this stage, getting the title is more important. You can find a better company later.
- Go after startups vs. big companies as they're less likely to be hung up on titles.
- As a last resort, consider a CSPO certification. I don't generally recommend certifications as you learn a lot more on the job than from these, but it can open up avenues in companies that have them as mandatory requirements.
It can take hundreds of applications before you land something. I transitioned when the market was hot and still took over 200 applications before landing a role, so it's also a numbers and patience game after a point.
