Hi Fishes, I recently joined Pwc AC and was informed to update my checkpoint portfolio where we update all our investments. If we have some investments and if we do not declare them, will it be a problem or can I update it as Nothing to report. Recently I joined here so I'm having some confusion regarding this.

It’s great that you recognized the optics!
First off, I hope all of that is in a 529 and not just a savings account. Second, you’ll want to address this immediatly saying something like “we just dropped x amount into the 529 to match what you put in! With the excess amount, I’m buying a 911”
It’s not a good look, NGL.
They don’t have to know you purchased car👀, when they visit park the car somewhere else🙏🏻🫡
Do you own your primary residence? Are you on track for retirement?
Any hesitation should always signal deep thought among five figures or above. A general first reflex is due to historical attentive sacrifice. With a gift to the grandparents, a healthy financial portfolio is due to strong guidance. How and where a parent invests in themselves can invite new interests for all. If everyone finds enjoyment within open communications, a marriage faces respect. Be confident among one only, and "favor" gets tarnished.
i read this a few times..
I have not but if you have the funds go for it. Which 911 variant are you looking at? As for grandparents or anyone that contribute, it’s done out of the goodness of their heart and I hope it’s not to make you feel guilty. If so, you can always deny it.
Very nice. 992.1 I assume
Assuming the grandparents have explicitly contributed towards your children’s college funds and you’re not using that to buy a 911, and you’re spending your own money, think you’ll be okay.
If not, good luck.
Having 90k already saved for both children at such a young age is amazing. Would not feel guilty if I were you.
Literally… The situation is unique in that sense because in reality some people would love to even have saved that much for both children while spending the money on a 911 😂
Def a bad look lol you have that extra money bc of all their help with kids and using it to buy a 911 is a huge F U to them 😂 tracks w buying a 911 though. Enjoy the hell of it, but yes they'll hate you, with reason. That said, I'd do it too, but you're just going to have to embrace YTA
You have 150k to write a check for the 911 and 180k saved for the kids (presumably you didn’t beg the grandparents for this and they gave it willingly). Seems fine to me.
If you were taking money the grandparents gave to fund the 911 or were asking for financial assistance from them then hell no
Depends how the funds from the grandparents came about… Did they feel you were struggling and offered help that you accepted or was this more out of nowhere? If it was the latter, go for it, because that seems like it was out of the goodnesss of their heart as P1 mentioned. If it was the former, then this may be a bad look…

Just say you got a loan. That way it doesn’t seem like you had cash for it. Also…. As long as you’re not using the college funds lol
Insane that you have $90k FOR EACH kid aka $180k saved for college. Insane. Not to mention they’re only 1 & 3. Go buy the 911 right now. The interest on $180k will do the rest.
DO IT. 911 is worth any disapproving look from your mother in law.
