Yes. What happens if you get laid off from Accenture or otherwise become unable to work there? I’d also add that if you’re young and healthy, you may want to see if it makes sense to get whole life insurance

G1 you’re not connecting the dots. At some point in your life, you will need a life insurance policy. You will have someone that depends on you for care and if you were to suddenly die, your loss of salary would be a huge hit to them. Instead of waiting until those dependents appear in your life and you are forced to pay through the nose in insurance premiums (since you are now older and your health has deteriorated), lock in the low rates now while you are at your youngest and healthiest. Waiting years/decades to start insurance policies is just irresponsible
That’s pretty cheap for that policy. As you get older it will only become more expensive.
If you died, would anyone miss your income? If not stop paying it. If yes, figure out how much life you need. 250 is nothing. You should be able to get a million for around that price if you’re healthy.

Do you have kids?
No kids.
Sounds really expensive. Probably a good idea to have insurance, but look into how much a new term policy would cost before deciding about that policy...
That’s too high. You could get same coverage for much less. For reference, I have a $2M policy for around $95/mo
No underlying conditions. 40m

You should definitely keep the NYL policy- if you ever leave Accenture, your life insurance benefit from them ends. So you would be older having to sign up for a new individual policy at a higher rate.
I’m a 40 year old male and just bought a new $2M policy this past year. $95/mo, so what he is currently paying is way too high
