I have a construction management degree, been working 6 years as both a carpenter and now a project engineer position and I feel stuck in my career. I really want to pivot my career into something with a more steady location, steady hours, and better pay. What are my exit options?

Pending salary expectations,

I would take a hard look at the the ‘residential’ (DR Horton, Lennar, Pulte Group, NVR, Drees, etc.) builders for in-office jobs -

or consider partnering with 1) Real Estate Agents and/ or 2) a Real Estate Investor or Management Company to take on a portfolio of homes to manage.

I make this suggestion; as an RE investor -
it’s incredibly hard to find qualified help - even when the appetite to pay a premium exist.

I have an offer accepted from Elevance 125k (Anthem) and w a good team and seems that WLB would be ok. Also, Amazon hiring manager wants to interview me for a job. Is just a hiring manager int. so obvi nothing guaranteed. Salary if offered will be more than 150k. My question is should I accept the interview and see where it goes? Is it really worth it to proceed with a company like Amazon for 25k+. I live in CA so $ is imp but I do have a toddler so WLB is also imp. Both role are Sr. MGR.

Round or exact numbers on banners/LPs? I was curious about this since in negotiations for example or pricing it's better to have the exact number. But if you have a case study, for example, is it better to say "Client X increased their revenue to 1,000,000 ARR" instead of "Client X increased their revenue to 987,500 ARR" ? Anyone has seen any impact on conversion rates?
