The true Trump Derangement Syndrome people to me are his supporters. They can never admit that he does anything wrong or has any faults. I would like for one Trump supporter to say “my guy says stupid stuff all the time and makes no sense but overall I support him anyway.” At least then we’ll know they are honest. When the rest of the country and the world hears Trump blaming Obama for things 3.5 years into his presidency that didn’t even exist in Obama days, we just don’t take Trump or his supporters seriously.

There are some areas where the previous term can have lingering impact. For example, it'll probably take at least a decade post-Trump to undo the damage he's done by leaving key positions unstaffed, by laying off organizations, and by feeding other organizations to billionaires profiting from their demise.

Hard to create tests for something that doesn't exist. Even if you could, Trump had two years to do so.

He’s done a great job.

Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. Any lessons learned or success stories about career slowdowns?

Once, when I was little, I was playing Monopoly with my cousin. I was the banker, and I liberally “quantitatively eased” myself whenever he wasn’t looking.

I got unlucky and lost the game but I threw an absolute FIT, accusing my cousin of cheating because I knew how severely I’d cheated myself. How could he have won if HE didn’t cheat?!

Donald Trump’s righteous, desperate conviction is that of a losing cheater. I only hope he gets the time out he so richly deserves.
