I have a referral question: as a person providing a referral is it weird to reach out to the internal recruiter? I had a previous coworker reach out to say he was referred to a role at my current company by someone else he knows but that person hasn’t done anything but provide a referral link and doesn’t want to follow with anyone. I can’t submit the referral at this point but is it weird if I reach out to the recruiter and send a little endorsement email?

Anyone’s company still going through the hiring process up to Christmas? Was in the running for a role at a consultancy and had an interview scheduled for weeks. Suddenly got it cancelled with no explanation, when I reached out 2 days later the recruitment team gave little to no explanation besides ‘recruitment stopping for the year. Has left a v sour taste. I have other interviews lined up but this one was a favourite.
