Looking for a position in Las vegas !?
I recently graduated from law school and have started my clerkship in the superior court of NJ. Once done with my clerkship, I’m hoping to work in employment law (defense). I’ve seen online that Jackson Lewis is hiring at their Berkeley Heights, NJ location. Can anyone give me any insight on what it’s like to work at JL? culture? First year associate salary? Typical work day? Jackson Lewis P.C.

Talk to your problem solving skills and resourcefulness. Your knowledge of the ins and outs of your clients' business. Highlight your ability to be a skilled communicator that can juggle multiple and complex projects/tasks at once. That you're able to see big picture and know where and how your responsibilities align with that.
Also, your ability to think strategically and how it can help you strategically look at the clients business, opportunities for growth for them, new projects, etc. good luck!!
AE1 has some good recos. For an AE level I look for a self-starter with passion. I need someone who can think on their feet and problem solve. They need to have experience managing multiple projects at once and demonstrate strong organizational skills. Highlight your ability to prioritize many things at once and any learnings you have applied to streamline process (on your team, in the agency, etc). If you have work that is detail oriented like status reports, R/F charts, competitive reviews or other critical operational responsibilities that you are responsible for — that is transferrable knowledge!! Last but not least, the most important piece to hopping to account-side is the ability to form strong relationships internally and with the client. Good luck!
Why would you leave planning for account, especially this early in your career?? Get ready for a lot more grunt work and managing the tiniest details no one wants to look at.
Dial up experience with internal client mgmt helps too! Ppl have to know you have good interpersonal skills.
Great advice by all - I would suggest focusing on your ability to engage clients in meaningful conversation and your own business acumen (translating client challenges to KPIs and guiding teams to deliver focused work against the brief).
Yes stay in planning!!
