Where in the world is Slalom? 🤔
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Why move from Amazon to consulting rather than other faang? Overall policies/growth/pay will be more restrictive and poor in consulting
Hmmm I understand. On base alone I’m getting a 100% bump and that’s the primary reason. Other than that I have seen consulting folks earning a good breadth of experience helping them land TPM/PM roles at FAANG and I hope to get into such a role in the future. I don’t know if I can fit into the world of consulting but I’m going to see how it turns out.
Immigration teams and the firms handling immigration for Deloitte are notorious for messing up applications (H1, GC, H1 extensions) and not being responsive at all. My overall experience has been okay but I know so many colleagues who had to leave the country for some time or to a different member firm because of immigration teams’ oversight.
You need a good coach. Don’t take what they give you if they aren’t responsive and helpful … if you do have a good coach, though, who is reasonably senior, that will make a big difference.
Also immigration teams at consulting firms are terribly slow
Thanks for sharing 😊
GC process is super slow at D. And yes, min 1yr wait for starting GC unless your H1B is running it in a year.
My sis is in the green card process at Deloitte, seems fairly responsive, there was a pause during COVID, but things seem to be picked back up again. Obviously you gonna take the government slowness out of it.
Helpful to know, thanks for sharing.
Well unlike everyone here, I had a very straightforward experience. Team was responsive to my questions and organized with documentation. Good experience overall.
Thanks M4 for sharing!
Amazon isn’t sponsor your green card?
They’re but they pay me 🥜
