I have applied for over 40 jobs with AMEX and have not received a callback for an opportunity.  with my skills and background I find this completely unusual. Is there anything I need to do to be considered at Amex?

I have requested my HR for a revised joining date by 1 week at PwC as my last working day at my current company and PwC was colliding.
The HR assured me of an addendum letter but so far after 2 weeks I haven't received anything as such.

Is there anyone who has also extended his/her joining in PwC ? If yes pls reply

Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?
