I have been in consumer finance for 14 years now and still FAIRLY young. I love what I do but i’m needing to find a remote job due to my husband getting a great opportunity for work. I don’t mind staying in consumer finance, but I don’t mind changing careers. I have applied to 20+ remote jobs and not one has called me back. I also spent $250 for a professinal to write my resume. Any tips? Any job opportunities out there I might have a chance at getting? I will take any help I can get! Thanks!

Unfortunately remote jobs are a lot fewer and far between, a lot of companies started RTO. But they do still exist out there. Have you considered or looked at anything in insurance? I’m biased, but some family members have been able to keep their remote roles and they work insurance.

Crazy thing is i’ve seen ALOT of remote jobs, just not in finance. I have looked into insurance, but most positions i have found are 1099 and I would rather have W2 income. I’ll keep looking!

One idea would be to try to do as much networking as you can among your longtime contacts. It seems like remote jobs are fairly precious these days, and I wouldn't be surprised if most of them were filled by referrals more so than by public postings. Hang in, you'll find something!

Hi fishes, I need some guidance.

I am currently into the SAP Security domain and I absolutely do not have any interest in it. I am planning to shift to development and have started on some courses on my own.

My question is, is there any future prospects in SAP UI5 and Fiori? Since my background is in SAP, I assume it will make a domain switch easier.

Or should I move into the JS-React path since there seems to be a lot of demand? But my worry is about my lack of actual work experience

Hi All,

I’m filling out my background check for my Deloitte offer. Is the professional career start date the date I started my job after college or literally the date I had my first job (if it’s in the 25 years Deloitte asks about)?

My security clearance asks for 10 years but nothing before 18, and it seems weird if Deloitte wants to know high school jobs.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey folks. Question for the majority of us still under the big 3 holding co’s...are raises a thing anymore? I’ve been at my (smaller) agency almost 5yrs and got one raise (a nice $12k bump) during that time—is that sufficient? Is one increase in that span normal? I also recognize being somewhere 5 years is rare these days. The honeymoon period at any agency seems to be 2.5—3yrs before bolting. Not complaining, just asking. Have y’all been getting raises/bumps in any kind of regular cycle? Thx.
