I have received an offer letter from ZS as DAC.
lets suppose they offered X amount
and I was able to negotiate and increase the offer..
now I have mail confirmation from the HR of the new compensation structure that it has been set in backend. however he is saying offer letter cant be changed..so i had to sign the old offer letter while i have mail confirmation for new compensation.
Is this okay ? will there be problem later ?

I just hit $200k NW and it’s been 7 months since I made my post (link below) about hitting $100k NW in Dec ‘21.
I’m just mind-blown since it took me 2.5 years to get the first $100k and it’s snowballed from there. I’ve gone from $82.5k TC to $238k TC plus a $20k appreciation on a house I bought at the beginning of the year
Can’t really talk about finances with friends/family so this is the only place I can share milestones like this haha…we’ll see if I can hit $300k by EOY

The SEC - 100%. Stay there for two years and then get a bank to double your salary.
BNY may have higher total compensation but the SEC role will have a better impact on your career. Banks value the knowledge of people with regulatory backgrounds since they need to spend a lot of time with compliance.
Agreed with other comments. I started my career at a regulator and it made me a hot commodity when I jumped and moved to the bank side.
Also, keep in mind the base salary for the two may be the same, but the bank is likely to offer more total compensation factoring in bonus. However, in the long run, you’ll make more if you go to the regulator first before making the move into a bank.
Its a tricky one if you’re looking to get into an IB as both would provide you similar opportunities but I would agree with D1 that doing 2 years at a regulator will make you a hot cake for the banks and maybe better negotiations power.

And I believe you should go with SEC as I have worked with investment banks, they would need someone from SEC.
