I Will Teach You to Be Rich
How do you feel about short stories? It's fiction but Someone Who Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory broke me apart and put me back together again.

THE PRIZE by Daniel Yergin might be the greatest work of nonfiction since the Constitution. Otherwise, most works by Michael Lewis are worthwhile and very accessible for the general-interest reader.

I’m sure it’s a good read, but also great to listen to, but I loved Barbarian Days by William Finnegan. It’s a memoir about surfing and I am not a surfer at all.

I don't actually like Trevor Noah as a comedian, but his autobiography "Born a Crime" is great. And it's a good audiobook because you get to hear him speak the multiple languages
“Smoke Gets In Your Eyes: And Other Lessons from the Crematory” by Caitlin Doughty. It’s the memoir of a person who describes herself as “functionally morbid” and gets a job at a crematorium. Super fascinating look at the death industry and examination of death in American culture. One of the most interesting books I’ve read.

Maybe giving myself away here but Chernow’s Grant bio. Basically a complete failure until his 40s, he ended up as arguably our greatest American.
