I have to be in San Diego for work and was thinking of staying through the weekend for a mini vacation. My vibe is very much lay by the pool/beach, order cocktails to my chair, and chill on a patio with delicious food but am really not seeing anything like that in San Diego (other than the Coronado which is shockingly expensive). Any recs for that type of hotel in the area or am I just totally off base on the SD vibe?
