Research Sleep Hygiene. There are methods to helping you rest on schedule and rest well. Especially great for us neurospicy folks.
Do you exercise or do a daily physical activity at all? That might help to get out some energy and sleep better. Also a solid nighttime routine where you don't use any blue light (tv, phone, etc.) in the bedroom 30 minutes before bed. Good luck!!
Read + melatonin (10mg) = I sleep like a baby. Usually out within 30 mins, sometimes 60 if I was quite stressed/ excited/ working late
That sounds really tough. I’ve definitely had those nights where my brain just won’t shut off, and it’s exhausting. Hope you can get the support you need soon. In the meantime, have you tried any nighttime routines that help? Sometimes a podcast or stretching helps me wind down a bit.
I have tried diphenhydramine but that doesn’t seem to be working as well as it used to. I’ll think about what I can do differently, maybe some yoga. I wish I knew what triggered it, this only started last week.
I take sleeping pills. Not ideal, but I prefer to be rested.

Low dose of trazodone has helped me a lot. I’ve always had issues. Edibles when I’m desperate or anxiety is higher than normal.
Ok... totally bad advice, but what about leaning into it and studying or learning something?
I slept 4 hours a night for almost 20 years. Parts suck, but I have made skills in a lot of things - not all work related.
I agree with this plan, just mind that at some point you will hit a wall from too little sleep.
Like my neurologist said : “ the hard drive is full”… don’t go at it long term
