I interviewed with a Big 4 firm in India and cleared technical and partner rounds. The partner said I’d get an offer soon. HR shared a salary lower than expected. I gave a counter which was declined, but I accepted their initial offer. Later, HR said the offer was on hold due to budget issues. It’s been nearly a month, and HR isn’t responding to my messages. Should I email the HR and CC the partner to ask them about a status update? Anyone experienced this before, could you pls advise?

Not sure if the right spot but need help figuring out my worth. I am with a large real estate PE firm, mcol area, and I am technically in FP&A. That said I do 95% of my work automating valuations, fund models, and underwriting using SQL, python, and excel (for end users to be able to use). Given my technical department, my skill set, and my actual work I don’t know where to start for understanding an appropriate salary. I have 5 years industry experience with both finance & tech.

Hi Everyone!

A company has made an offer and I wanted to understand if i'm being made a fool.

The monthly compensation is 1,37,500 (16,50,000 yearly) and Variable component (Bonus) is 1,50,000.

However in the offer it says "You shall be paid an annual compensation of Rs. 16,50,000/- per annum Cost to Company."

Which to me sounds like it doesn't consider 1,50,000 to be a part of CTC which is suspicious to me.

How should I deal with this?

Been at SEI 10 years, star of every team that I've worked on, and only make $87,000 annually with a $6,500 IC target. Asking for an increase this June to take me to $100,000 in some combination of salary and/or stock options. Any tips for asking for stock options in lieu of a company being able to meet a salary request? TIA

I asked for a raise in April 2022 after three years with my company. Positive feedback since day one. Learned I was making less than peers at other asset managers in NYC with less experience (14 years). Latest conversation was with HR about how they calculate salaries. I’ve been asked to provide examples how my role has changed since I started to justify the increase. Is this normal? Or is this just their way of denying my request?

My two year anniversary of starting my career (in general) is coming up in the next 3 weeks.

Aug 2020- 65k base salary
Jan 2022- 80k base salary
July/Aug 2022- 110k base salary
