I just got a mail from my insurance plan (which I bought through NYS marketplace last year) that there will be a ~12% price increase starting 2027, which will make it a close to $1,000 bill per month for me if I choose to keep it.

And honestly I’m not even using the insurance a lot… should I just opt out and run with no insurance? Or is there any alt for NYC-based freelancers that’s reasonably priced? This is getting so freaking expansive that I can’t really afford 🫠
