Call the Nursing Board of your state or a Union if you have one, look for guidance on reporting; abusive behavior should be reported, and there are channels. Try to do it before you contact HR (HR is the enemy) . Take him to court if necessary, you may lose your job, but you’ll have a case (who wants to work in that environment anyway?) Put your foot down!!
First of all you have a right to file the Disruptive Behavior Report. If it makes him a target then he deserves it. If you are targeted by him or anyone else you work with, engage Human Resources. HR and Management are not the problem. If you have an issue with HR or Management include them in the investigation and dissect the problems and develop a plan to overcome these issues.
That happened to me. I dont give a crap !! I bite back!! I told his @ss!!!
💯💯
I do think that you should file a complaint and try to see if tort could file anonymously. you should not have to take that disrespect like that and he needs to learn from that. and if you’re a really good worker abs do what you need to do then hopefully they will be on you’re side
i do think that when taking certain jobs to take into consideration your conditions but do not be afraid of reporting if they had fired you if they knew about your conditions and didn’t take into consideration that those things may happen during the job. They knew value what you had going on with your health and didn’t think about what may or may not happen.
Break that horn of that doctor, report to HR that unprofessional behaviour.
I just got fired based on FALSE accusations and extreme lies. This is after relocating over 3,300 mills for the job. The discriminatory practices and Racial profiling perpetrated upon was unimaginable, in this day and age.
These people were like a gange of linchers. I felt like I was brought in specifically to be tourchared, without question or support. People were warning about this unit and it's leadership during orientation. At the time, I really did not comprehend or quit grasp their innuendos and "hints."
There appears to have been other victims. Who has the money to pursue a legal fight, and who will take on my case and conduct a thorough investigation.
NO, HR representative are part of their horrible, nightmarish system. Now, I am stuck in this semi-backwards/hillbilly State. Yes, the who place/ "area" is in this weird dicotomy between progress and regression. Backwoods, slave mentality with some modernity.
I have been in the medical field a long time and have had my fare share of doctors talking crazy, belittling and being out right disrespectful. Just because you have an MD, PHD, DO, or whatever behind your name, does not give you the right to be disrespectful. I’m confrontational and don’t mind putting anyone in their place, but if you are not comfortable letting him know you didn’t appreciate what happened and that it better not ever happen again, I would definitely report him.
File a complaint, he needs to be reminded of ethics.
Listen for a second. Be a nice girl and bring him a mocha latte from Starbucks ex-lax double shot. Maybe it's time for him to prep for a colonoscopy 🙃
😂😂😂
doctors still behave like that? sheesh. yes, report him.
You should not just take that. I worked with a physician who belittled me and others and it made my life miserable. Little did I know at the time is that I mattered and my grievances were valid violations of the organization's code of conduct. I would start with a supervisor, however, in my case, my supervisor was terrible, in which case you can go to HR or a hospital administrator. They cannot fire you for reporting. Never back down. I believe it is all of our responsibility to not only protect ourselves, but to protect the integrity of the healthcare system.
YES! Call the AMA or state licensing.
I agree with Simulation Tech.
I would document it regardless of the retaliation. I've been retaliated against every single time I've reported behavior but I can't do anything about the retaliation if the original event has no record.
You have to stand up for yourself be respectful but let them know it’s not acceptable and won’t be tolerated. And you will be reporting on the incident. Then walk away calmly.
Happened to me. Thank God the patient complained and refused to see the physician for his unprofessional conduct.
Management however did nothing!
Absolutely
