I left my contract role when I checked how much I made last year. I went numb when I saw the number (let’s just say the number is so low even without taxes taken off and that new grads are making more than me) and I have 5 years of experience. I started job hunting formally almost a month ago and I’m feeling incredibly discouraged. I share the frustration with anyone who’s job searching in this insane market right now.
