Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

United has a hub in Dulles and pretty much everything is direct. Personally I find my time and sanity more valuable than status
Plus you double your chances of delays in flights. No thanks
Connecting flights, you’ll get more segments
With 4 segments a week, you could get status really quickly, and then match to another airline with direct flights
I'd either go with United (IAD) or American (DCA) which have more direct flights out of the DMV area
^AA has directs to LA from IAD, and a lot easier to get upgrades than on United
Always go for nonstops.
My bed/couch > the most fancy lounge and first class seats there are
I value my time more than the comfort of an airline. I’d choose whichever option that best aligns with what I value.
(In this case, I’d choose the airline that gives me back the most time: non-stop flights)
Switch to UA. You’ll get better timings and miles that aren’t trash.
Yes
Switch to AA. Depends on where you live in the DMV though. When I was in Alexandria, DCA was a US Air shop and it only made sense to be aligned with them
Switch to AA and fly out of dca
I prefer AA and love flying in/out of DCA for a few reasons -
1. DCA >>> IAD but take a pick based on where you live in the DMV area
2. AA is cheaper than United
3. The DCA - LGA shuttle is very convenient
4. Can fly direct pretty much everywhere on AA except the west coast (and I don’t travel there)
5. some really horrible experiences flying United
Mostly don’t call it the DMV haha
everyone calls it the DMV bro
Get those segments!!!
