I lost my central vision (and my job) in 2014, and am now trying to re-enter the workforce. Where to begin? I hold a BA in humanities and am nearing the completion of my MA. I am creative (photography and painting), have extensive customer service experience (restaurants), and have fantastic communication skills.

I’m getting put up for manager a year early. I have PPMD ,SM, and M support. Pretty much support from all the key individuals on my team and in my service line. Since it is a year early if i don’t get promoted this round I know it’ll come mid year but I do expect a good salary increase still without the promo. If I don’t get the promo nor a salary increase that I’m okay with, how do I let my partner know that I will begin to entertain outside offers? some of which have offered the manager role.

What are your opinions on getting too much work in early phase of career? I have almost one year of experience and after switching to a new organisation I have like alot of work in my plate. I recently lateraled into Big Law. Most of my colleagues are homegrown. My shift did involve a big change in practice area, and there's work that I haven't done before that I now have to do.

But, sometimes I feel stupid here, even for work which I have done previously. It's like I'm unable to understand instructions the first time around. And I have seen my colleagues getting annoyed by that. It's like I've become dumb. In my defence, I could say they're giving half assed instructions.

What would be the life science career track with the highest comp and fastest progression for someone without a technical stem degree but with a M7 MBA and transaction/deals consulting experience? Am I right to assume it would be MBB?

The last year and a half, I have been the head of marketing for a VC backed company with $90M annual revenue. I was contacted by a recruiter for a CMO role for a $80M VC backed company.
