I made an average $300 a day sports betting for the last month, is this a sign to create a business for YouTube content?

I made a good amount on sports betting but taxes took a good chunk (lost standard deduction).

Yes you can deduct your wagers/losses if you itemize. Unless you have $14k in other itemized deductions you lose out on it.

What app do you use ?

Fan duel

If you feel it’s your calling go for it.
But you might’ve just gotten lucky, if this month you lose money maybe don’t do it.

If you’re just guessing by going on gut feel, or are relying on small trends (ie Team X is 20-20 overall but 18-2 at home, so I’m gonna bet on the spread for Team X regardless of what it is) then you’re definitely getting lucky. However, if you’re using advanced financial models and taking time to understand the models (which I would assume you are not doing), then it could be a lucrative play for you.

I’m betting more based off of analyzing their play, such as watching the games and betting based on statistics + performance during the games

Is this all luck or some skill

Hahaha feels like luck but it’s more like applying logic to the games I’m betting on and watching the games

How many days a month & games are you betting on ?

Tennis only and everyday in a month

Cavatappi in Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

Tired of of the same old boring tomato marinara sauce? Try a roasted red pepper cream sauce!

Red bell peppers are roasted in the oven until sweet. It is then blended with caramelized onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, sun dried tomato paste, and cream into a silky, smooth and velvety sauce. Finish the sauce with a knob of butter and coat your pasta. Cavatappi works well here. Don’t forget to shave a little Pecorino Romano

A wonderful friend recommended me to a recruiter, when the recruiter was looking to place a creative.
This role is at a small agency, I’m going to be paired with a Sr. Copywriter. They’re looking for a conceptual thinker and brilliant designer, no pressure.
I have some internships and some freelance under my belt since graduating portfolio school, and a current laptop that’s running on fumes ha.
I’m intimidated, cautious, yet super grateful to finally hear from someone.
Any words of wisdom?

I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google

Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

What do you think?
