I need 3-5 references for a position I'm applying to. I have 3, none of which are from PWC. I really want to ask my coach/manager if he would be willing to be one as well. I have a good relationship with him and he's always been the guy to say "congrats, I'm happy for you" when people leave the firm. Really torn if I should ask him or not.

You’d be surprised. Just ask. I asked 3 people currently at PwC and they were all more than happy to be a reference

Read the Handbook. GT’s handbook discourage provide reference for current or former employees.

damn. I don't even know how to find the pwc handbook

Just do the three. References are almost never checked. It is best not to tell anyone at your current employer until you have an offer and start date at your new gig.

My references are checked yesterday. Actually I got a verbal offer pending reference check. I provided 3 and 1 told me that he was checked. Not sure the other 2.

Anyone available to review my resume/guide me through this job search? I’ve been applying places for the past 6 months and am not getting responses. Unemployment has run out and I’m starting to crumble under the pressure of bills. My experience the past 6yrs has been in smaller companies where my role was never just one thing but instead spread over multiple departments, so I’m struggling to narrow down how to convey the vast experience I do have.

Hi,

Just started a new job less than a month ago in the tech sector. It was the industry I was fixated on when leaving for. However I realise that I don't think I can cope with the fast paced, lack of wlb, with no support - it's really impacting my mental health already....

I try to hide it from my boyfriend, but its impact is flowing into my personal life.
