I need to move to a HCOL city from a LCOL of living for personal reasons. Do people have advice how to approach this conversation with compensation? Company has offices in these cities and have been told that the HCOL cities do have a higher pay band (i.e., DC, New York). I’d like to ask if I can stay with the company and explore options to be bumped up in salary? Any advice?

Now I have received another offer from a fintech organization in Berlin, Germany who are providing me 69k Euros as base salary + 5k Euros as RSU and also an on call support of 5k Euros annually + complete relocation assistance package. Relatively new in Big4 M&A advisory doing mostly integration work with some pre deal DD mixed in. I recently heard L.E.K. Consulting places well in MM PE but don't know much about them otherwise.
