Don't entertain. Have you registered with a search firm? That will help you find executive level roles.
True Search has been helpful for me, Spencer Stuart

It won’t , consulting titles are very inflated. I mean my firm had 15K global partners ?! And they churn 1000 + each year. LOL. That will never translate to industry where executive roles are few with a LOT more power
Also, big salaries for lower hours at big tech - not always true 😀

Oh yes. I was referring to big tech. Our directors not same as industry or consulting directors
You're focusing on the wrong stuff. Don't worry about title or prestige. Go somewhere you like the team, values, and your boss. You may take a pay hike but your overall happiness will spike.

I mean i went from ACN M to an f500 D. I wouldn’t settle for less unless the comp was somehow there. What’s your SM base like 250? That could be hard to get even in D level roles in industry. So my guess is you’d be taking quite a cut to exit to an SM level.
The big problem for you right now is that the economy is terrible and fat is being trimmed everywhere. A lot of the roles that we grabbed up a year ago just aren’t available now.
Don’t give up and don’t settle would be my advice. Unless your mental health is in a crisis, I’d stick it out as Deloitte for another year or two or however long it takes for hiring to ramp up again.

I spent a lot of 2021 networking on LinkedIn, so when a connection i had made posted a role, i applied and contacted them and they helped put things in motion with HR.
I also had a different great offer that started from a recruiter reaching out - there were a lot more of those a year ago, but recommend exploring every one of them. Those connections are super valuable as well.
I’m not sure about search firms and how valuable they are. Seems like most of those folks I’ve talked to have like one important connection at one company that they want to put you in front of. Never worked out for me but maybe it does for others. Happy to DM more if you want and we can be more specific.
Comp*. Not como 😅
What’s your experience? What qualifications do you have?
You can definitely find a Director level role on F100! Keep looking and you’ll get it.
What? I work in a mid size tech company and D levels make more than $250 in total comp
I still value highly my rsus over being at a big 4 anyday. Pays better, the bonus is the same, the equity is pure savings, less political, wlb better , 401k match is higher than .25% of 6% (looking at Deloitte here), and insurance is fully paid
I mean you said it yourself. Outside of specific teams (accounting for instance in some cases, but not all) SM in B4 doesn't translate to industry. You likely have approx. 10 years experience. If it is all directly applicable, you might get a lateral/title bump, but often times it isn't a direct transition.
Is TC more? When I transitioned to tech, my TC increased quite a bit.
