Hello Deloitte 🐠 20 YOE. Have referral for a content and marketing M role in cybersecurity -- the focus of my career pivot. Submitted my application today, but my referrer isn't in Cyber. Interested to widen my Deloitte Cyber network to get my resume in front of a human, since ATS has no vision or imagination. If you're willing to connect, please DM. So far, made it several interview rounds into roles with EY and Accenture. Optimistic, but want to be as proactive as possible. Thanks!

Pump the brakes a little. What type of cyber work are you most interested in? Do you want to be on the front lines doing penetration testing/vulnerability scanning/ethical hacking or do you want to lean more forwards a compliance/strategy type of role? In my experience, folks with more than 2-3 certs have their priorities out of wack. CISSP will probably be plenty for any compliance role, for something more technical I’d slap a CEH on top of it. The rest you’ll learn on the job.
Appreciate this!

That many certifications seems a little unnecessary to be honest. I would recommend narrowing it down to the CISSP and one other certification based on what you want to specialize in.
I didn’t come from a technical background so I supposed that would help my credentials in a way?
Holy crap, to get all of those certs in 1-2 years, especially if you don’t already have the experience behind them would require a TON of studying. That would leave no time to advance your career by actually being invested in your current work, working on reinvest, or just having a life in general. I do technical work, and didn’t get a cert until almost 3 years in of doing the work. It was super easy to get without much studying because I had the experience. But if you want to do a very specific thing and haven’t had the opportunity to work on that, just get that one feet and use it as a catalyst to do that type of work
