After uploading documents in Bosch First Services one week ago, there was no update from them, when I replied to them via mail - They said we will get back to you.Is this sign of getting compensation breakup or they looking for other candidates.I have offer from CGI and only 3 days is remaining to accept. What should I do in this case?As CGI has said if you don't join after accepting offer we will blacklist you.

A for effort?

Oof. This hit close to home.

I see several posts from people asking how they can help during these times with a few extra $$$ to spend. Here is just one of many ideas.

#stepuptothetable is about helping local restaurants who are struggling during these times. I have seen numerous linkedin posts with videos where people challenge each other to step up to the table & buy meals & gift cards from their community restaurants. A great way for those of us who are more fortunate to support business & keep people employed.

Not enough time. No one could genuinely speak to your performance after only a month to give a convincing recommendation to b school.
Also, would mean that you're leaving in 10 months. I would be pretty annoyed if I just hired you.

Ah, yep, that does make a difference. Would be actually very supportive of that.
Way too soon. If you plan to apply this year, you’re probably out of luck for round one and round two.

You’d have to be one motherf***ing stellar financial analyst to impress me that much in one month to give you a recommendation.
BTW, you say that you have been planning to do your MBA, but did you tell your new employer about your plan when you interviewed? Because if you did, and they still hired you, then that’s cool. Everybody knew the deal, but if you withheld that information, that’s not cool because only you knew the deal.

Well then that’s cool! You told them and they knew the deal.
You’d still have to be one motherf***ing stellar financial analyst to impress me enough in a month to give you a recommendation though.
Id say it depends. If someone has already being EXTREMELY complementary of your job you might inquire.
Id say “you’ve been so supportive of me already and I was wondering if I could count you in as one of my reccos for business school. I know you don’t know me well yet, so I completely understand if you don’t feel comfortable”
There have been some people that have impressed me during just a few weeks and I’d be totally down to support them. Especially if they aren’t asking for a raise. They are asking for support to continue making an extra effort for their education.
Thank you! This was indeed very helpful.
I would wait at least 6 months, probably a year…
What’s the harm in asking? Worst they can do is tell you not yet. You’re asking the wrong ppl.
Is it necessary to get in? If not I wouldn’t just yet unless the company is paying for it.
Just make sure you do something with it, I have so many friends who got their MBA but I make more than them with my little bsba 😂

And be very sure that weekend mba is worth the time and money. I have rarely seen it to be…most senior folks in firms have mba from one of a handful of schools. All are not equal.
