I recently changed jobs and my new 401K provider - Principal has very limited MF investment options. My prior employer’s 401K was managed by Fidelity and provided me access to a range of MF options. I believe that the fund options are negotiated by the employer and provider? Two questions. First - I have not rolled over my previous 401K to the new one. Would there be any problems. Second - is there a way I could move my current 401K to another (precious) provider?

You can’t move your current 401k to a new provider. You old 401k can be left at old employer if allowed, rolled to new plan or rolled into an Ira. Is your old 401k Roth or traditional? If Roth, roll it to an IRA. If traditional, an Ira is fine as long as you don’t now or plan to use a backdoor Roth IRA.

That’s a good idea - but in the meantime I’ve been doing Mega Backdoor in after-tax contributions converted to Roth, so I don’t feel I’ve been missing out for an extra $6k in Roth.

Hard to say, but limited options may be a reason to keep your old one where it is, or roll to an IRA (understanding you could have to do pro-rata in the future for backdoor Roth IRA contributions). Doing an in-service withdrawl to get your funds out of principal to an IRA isn’t very common, I don’t think.

Hello All,

Can anyone please help me here.
I have made my tax payment in July 2022 but yesterday (15 Nov 2022) I receive an email that tax payment is due for assessment year 2022-23

I called to help desk and he advised to raise rectification request from Tax portal and update the challan number. I tried to raise request but need to upload some XML or json file there. I am not sure how to upload or modify that file.

Does anyone know what steps need to follow as I already made my tax payment.

Work remotely (don't mind traveling to office ~once per month)
Total comp
Work life balance
Equity + likelihood of liquidity event in ~5 years
Culture
Parental leave
Quality of leadership team

Don't care about:
Loads of random benefits (can allocate TC to things I care about)
Industry (providing there is clear product market fit + growth potential)

Question to confirm I’m thinking about this right. I’m getting some company stock on 5/15 through my ESPP and also due to some RSUs vesting. I was planning to sell some but some of my old stock is in a loss position so figure I’d sell that to take advantage of the losses up to 3k on my tax return. To avoid a wash sale, I just have to wait to sell until 6/15 (31 days after 5/15) and then I’ll be good as long as I don’t have any new stock vesting before 7/16 (31 days after 6/15)?
