That's enough. Only thing worth getting now is a top 10 MBA if you want to pivot to more lucrative roles.

I have been looking into those but tuition is too expensive. I’m trying to save right now.

Quality work experience in industry unless you don’t want to do accounting anymore

Python, R, Java, SQL. You will be replaced by cheaper workers or AI soon. Good to have a different skill set and prepare yourself for the future. Accounting soon to be a dead end.

That’s good to know. I will look into those. Thanks for the recommendation.

You could go for a MBA or CMA. I finished my MBA in 2021 and my university provided two years of free access to CMA training and prep. It was basically a two for one deal.

I once was a CISA… I have no IT background, no IT degrees (2 ACCT degrees tho); never did/saw a shred of an IT audit/assurance work/client/OTJ training of any kind. Forced by employer to choose CISA vs CPA, CISA was way more feasible at the time. I passed 1st try. My firm had zero IT work. So all my CPE reqs lapsed, and my cert expired w/ zero resume material to show for it. I see IT Auditors paid WAY more. I’d love that! I’d re-sit. But idk my head from my ass about practical application.

I resigned Today from my current employer for a different offer.

I discussed with my lead , he said if you really want to leave then prepare a good reason and leave on good terms, management will try to give lucrative offers so that you stay.

What are some safe resignation reasons to give so that
they cannot counter it and it looks genuine and safe as well.
I do not want to say that I am leaving because I am getting another offer.

Kindly guide 🙏

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Should you discuss salary range with an internal company recruiter prior to setting up an interview? With external recruiters it’s pretty easy to talk about the expected range. I am trying to avoid wasting all of our time if i get to the last interview and they are expecting a salary that is too low for me.
