I recently had the round of 3 back to back interviews with Amazon for Data Center Technician role. The recruiter called me the following Monday to tell me my interviews went well and I “passed”, so next the hiring manager will be reaching out. Does anyone know if this step is just an introduction or an actual interview with the manager? could I potentially be expecting an offer? How does this stage of the process typically work?

I’m pretty torn on whether I want to take an offer for an internal role or not…
The job itself sounds pretty interesting. Lots of opportunity for growth (eventually will build out a team).

My only concern is the hiring manager. I talked to someone in my network who has worked with him in the past and she told me that she would 100% work with him again bc she learned a lot, but that he has a very dominant personality and that some ppl can butt heads with him.

Digital/digitally-savvy PMs, can I pick your brains? I’m up for a Sr. PM position at a creative agency working mainly w/tech clients. My background is more print based, especially the last couple years. When I was working in digital, it was very straightforward (mostly static/animated banners with a little bit of social). I have gotten a verbal offer from Facebook, but I just had my phone screen interview with the hiring manager at Amazon yesterday. I want to reach out to the recruiter at Amazon and let them know what the timeline looks like. I would much rather have the Amazon job over the Facebook one. But I’m afraid if I decline Facebook then Amazon won’t happen. I’m just completely lost.

Went through multi-day loop for L5 SA and felt confident in my interactions. Presentation went well with no lack of answers for follow up questions. Just found out 6 days later I will not be receiving an offer, and it is policy to not provide feedback of gaps or reasons behind no offer. Also found out they ask you not to reapply for 1 to 2 years for same role. Would anyone recommend an alternate path for feedback on interview (outside of recruiter) and is the 1-2 year policy true?

Amazons excessive interviews are an awful candidate experience. Why do they think this will help them win top talent in this competitive environment? Especially with their public cultural issues…? Lots of great paying companies without having to take a day off from work to interview! It’s overkill
