Hi everyone,
I have a total 9+ work ex in Devops and Release Management. Did an executive mba with a goal of breaking into Program management but got recruited into Management Consulting . In this company for the past 3 months.
I feel that my overall skills are better off in a TPM/Program Management role.
My overall experience makes me eligible for most PM roles.
My question is how do I prep for a TPM role since I don’t have development or Scrum Master exposure. Amazon India VMware BrowserStack Inc.

What kind of role can be expected for Manager-Project role in Cognizant? I'm more interested in Technical Role rather going into management role.

Make sure everyone knows that you are overloaded.
Let the deadline miss deliberately
Let there be escalation
Then only management will understand.
Jyada se jyada tumhare appraisal me 2-3% ka fark padega - itane ke liye don't screw your personal life.
Ok
Ha, switch immediately. BPO se aaye log manager hai wahan. Sare managers hi bhare hai jinko do kaudi ki technical knowledge nahi. Kutte jaise 5-5 log chhod diye jate h pichhe update lene. Ya to meeting kar lo ya kaam. Un non technical logon ko ye nahi samajh aata ki development me logic lagta h aur usko banane samay lagta hai.
Switch kar lo nahi to aisa burnout hoga, 2 saal recover nahi hoga , interviews crack nahi honge aur confidence down hoga wo alag. Wo chutiyo ki job perfect chalti rahegi. Ya fir unke jaise ho jao.
Also they take pride in saying technical log yahan tikte nahi. Reason ye hai ki gawar log kaam karne nahi dete, aur learning bhi nahi hoti to chhodega hi aadmi
One more thing, from personal experience. They won't show any empathy if you have even if you have some medical emergency.
I wish you don't face such situations. But If you continue there, you might realise.
Be confident, market is good. You will get other offer. Or directly try into databricks, they are hiring.
Check out this job at Databricks: https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/4031911411
Please don’t resign with out offer. I was in same situation recently had moved to another org, but the wait was over an year
Oh one year...then i'll get the offer first.
Can't say about others, but I was applying few months back and there were no calls, and if there were any they were not going beyond 30lpa.
Now after 3,4 months I again started applying, this time I am getting calls daily.. Also they are OK with 90 days period ( as they are also finding resources for next year projects and all)
So with your exp and cloud domain, you would definitely find openings and calls.
Just go on leave, prepare and apply.
It’s the holiday season. People are either on leave or waiting for bonus to arrive. That’s why there are less opportunities. Give it another month and you’ll see more opportunities coming up. Usually people take the bonus and then resign. Eventually opportunities appear. Don’t worry.
Try to get offer and resign immediately, apply leaves to get some rest
Classic Genpact.
With your tech stack and experience, you’ll easily find opportunities. Start exploring new roles, but don’t resign until you secure one. I assume you have responsibilities like supporting your family and other dependencies. This time, make sure to confirm the specifics of the role and project before committing.
Yes if you get offer you can resign
What's your ctc
Is this band 3 or lower?
Leave others, even their CEO Tiger also left Genpact last year. 😂
I need a job in fmcg direct company peyroll, now I am working in keventer agro Ltd, please let me know if you have any contact
Fronted developer
I thought Genpact had Good WLB..why don’t they hire more people?
Very true. Seriously, managers here are pathetic. They don’t care anything about wlb
Nothing is more important than personal life and health. However, never resign without an offer in hand. Unless you are in desperate situation or stuck in a too much toxic environment.
It’s too early for the decision
Please test the waters and at least stay for an year this way you will learn as well as you will have a strong reason on moving out
i am looking for project in genpact as a fresher, can you help?i am willing to in case i need to bridge the gap with requirements
