I have never used Uber Eats, but, I use Uber about 8-10 times a month. Usually when going out drinking or having to be dropped off home for car repairs
Yes...some of us don't have cars. And I don't mind using Uber eats either. At the end of the day you're paying for convenience. How much you value that is up to you. Sometimes with promo deals it only ends up being 5-7 dollars more than doing pickup 🤷♀️

yeah, it’s ridiculous as much money as I make I am cheap about some things - but when you put it that way, I can justify it
I used Uber (and Lyft) a lot when I lived in LA years ago (pre-pandemic). Living in a big city makes the ride shares much more necessary. but I moved to a mid-size city in 2020, got married in 2023, and now I'm such a home-body that I never use Uber or Lyft lol. We're also trying to eat a lot better so we never order out really so I basically don't use Uber at all anymore
Thanks!! I really think that getting married has made eating at home easier because when you're eating out all the time as a couple, things really start to add up lol. But yeah we have gotten in the groove of eating at home by buying meats and other ingredients in bulk at Costco and then feeling compelled to eat what we already spent money on. The crockpot is my dear friend haha. We also keep easy freezer options around for nights when we're too exhausted to cook so even if it's not *healthy* it's at least saving us money
I use Uber when I am on vacation or if I absolutely have to when going to the airport (its usually just cheaper to park my car there because I live far from the airport). I never use uber eats though. And sometimes if Lyft is cheaper I just use Lyft.
I feel like I rarely use Uber but my parents will use Uber eats because they get a certain amount credited through AMEX. Other than that unless it's super necessary or I have free credits to use, I don't usually use it
Yeah I use both, but prefer Lyft in NY since it’s almost always cheaper. I wonder if they’re making a profit or not, I know they haven’t been profitable for awhile.

I always check both to see which is cheaper usually you’re right it is Lyft where I am too.
Uber isn't a default in my corner of Canada like it is in a lot of places. We have Uber Eats here, but I use DoorDash the very rare occasion I want delivery (every month or two). I don't have a car, but I live within a 5 minute walk to a lot of takeout places. Uber is a thing here as well, but taxis are cheaper and usually more reliable.
