Keep in mind just because something *can* be automated, doesn’t automatically mean it should be. You have to understand the business process and make sure your automations don’t jump any checks and balances needed.
How about automated connection attempts with tasks. As an advisor, I have hundreds of people in my follow-up list for tasks. It's overwhelming, and quite frankly, I don't have time for it. If it was automated, I would likely add a couple million, at least to my book of business each year. I can't have an auto dialer, but automated follow-up emails upon due date would be great.
Haha I even reviewed and updated my entire google profile trying to figure out where the hell it got that. It says I work at Good Book Fairy 😂 I assure you I do not but hey maybe they pay better! Salesloft is our sales teams bread and butter. They swear by it. I can not for the life of me get them to adopt sf which makes sense based on your above complaint. But they run cadences for phone, text, email all day long. It integrates seamlessly with straight forward mapping and has hundreds of automations. I manage my admins one of which I have as the SL expert so I admit my skills are lacking to offer specifics on HOW to set it up but even our desperately inadequate in tech skills sales team feels it’s easy which to me speaks volumes. Hope this helps. 🧚🏼♀️
Do you know how to build flows (easier than dev)? What about Apex code (more dev)? That’s the two most common for the automation that I have seen.
Lol
Good question here - also want to know what are some trailheads and certs focusing on automations?
Look at the Platform App Builder Certification Trailmix. That cert is all about learning to automate with Salesforce’s native tools.

Note: “Trailhead” is the name of the website. The term you’re looking for is Badges.

https://architect.salesforce.com/decision-guides/trigger-automation this is a good place to start
As someone above mentioned: start with Trailhead. Trailhead.Salesforce.com
Start with the admin trails which will be inclusive of automation tools once you get a bit further into it
