I sit in a chair for 9+ hours a day, I have a 49 mile commute so that's an additional almost 3 hours in the sitting position. Then I sit at home and study every other hour. ALL I DO IS SIT.

Sounds familiar. I used to have a 10 minute commute with the gym 1/2 way in between. Now my office is 40 miles away and kids make the gym impossible in AM. Gained 40 pounds over the last decade. Just bought a treadmill and weights for the winter and try to walk the dog when weather allows. Even carving out 30 minutes for a walk will make a massive difference.

Drink lots of water which makes you have to go to the bathroom a lot so it gets you out of your chair. On the way back take a couple laps around the office. Take the stairs.

I've been a copywriter, a senior copywriter, a manager of writers (aka cat herder), a director of communications, a book author, a freelance writer and ... still ... I am not wholly certain what I want to be when I grow up. I'm a managing editor for a tiny marketing agency currently, but it's not enough. I'm still scratching at that itch. I'll be writing forever, but tell me ... what roles are left? What else needs doing? Point me that way. Help me out of my rut. I seek challenge and change.

Now that Google said they’re keeping employees home until summer 2021, do you think we’ll follow suit? Big tech was the first to say they’d RTW at the beginning of 2021–which seemed ridiculous when they first announced it early on—but now is the norm. Now that Google has announced it, do you think Summer 2021 is going to be the new norm? Jan 2021 is feeling less and less likely....
