Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

Nah, just be professional about it. It's not even that unusual.
Nope. Like D1 said, if you’re professional about it then it’s better to leave sooner than later. You don’t want to waste your time and they also don’t want to waste any additional time training, onboarding, etc someone that doesn’t want to be there.
I left a job after 3 months. They’re on probation, too. If they felt it wasn’t a good fit they would end it so don’t feel too bad!
