I started as an account manager this year. $47k salary no commission. Did I get robbed?

Plan for retirement- I am looking to do the following calculations : calculate total corpus required at retirement based on inflation lifestyle etc. , calculate total amount my investments will grow at retirement age ( 401 k , savings etc, ). These two figures should give me an idea where the additional amount i need to invest.
