Due to understaffing, been working more than that. decided to quit cause I’m tired of not being able to mentally log off everyday. I love everything else About job & have a gpod team.Me leaving would be a big blow to them since already understaffed. wanted to let my mgr know Im going to resign but will stay until they find replacement even thru next T/S but parttime if needed. is this good idea?

I like my current job, company and public accounting. I know I am being underpaid at $70k as a senior tax associate with 2-3 years of experience as I have talked with my local peers as well as local recruiters. Also, I know outside hires to my company get paid about $5-$10k higher than me, but they don’t get a raise the following year. My question is what is everyone’s experience with company hopping to get a pay bump within public accounting?

Compared to 40-50% in other places. Crazy hours feb-apr, 40 apr-jul, 45 in Aug, maybe 50-60 that last week of aug/ early sept. <40 post 9/15. We have a need at the senior level to fill a gap. Seniors help is needed everywhere so if your interested, come cash in your chips!
