I started moderating a discord community a few weeks ago and it is way more stressful than I could have imagined. Is burnout high in the industry?

You need to make sure you have enough support and are communicating with your manager about how much time it's taking. One question to ask yourself is if you're wasting any time, but if not communication is key because you will start to miss stuff if your brain is shutting down

It can be less stressful if you are working with a great team. Having a full and good support group will really make a difference. No job is made easy so it's up to you on how to go about it while absorbing less stress.

It is. To tell you honestly, the stress and burnout are unimaginable. Still depends on your field and the product or services you are offering.

Yes. This is what I always tell my friends if they want to start a career here. The job is definitely not for everyone.

Oh yes. Too high even. But you'll get used to it. Trust the process and ask your colleagues for some help or guidance.

That's pretty normal, OP. I am not saying that things will get better soon. But stick it out first. You'll get the hang of it.

Give it some time. You're still in the adjustment period. Take a break from time to time.
