I think I’m finally ready to move (back) out of consulting and into an industry role. All the jobs I’ve looked at so far are topping out or below my current pay. This makes no sense to me because I actually took a pay cut when I moved from industry to consulting. Any advice on how to find a role without taking a pay cut again? I’m even willing to go from mostly remote to in office full or hybrid, and yet these jobs are tens of thousands below what I currently make.

Hi Fishes, I've 2.25 Years of experience in SAP Basis, but I've lost interest in the same due to not receiving proper training, inability to practice on customer's system and shifts. I'm looking forward to go for MBA/changing technology, which one would be a better option? WMP reached out to me earlier this year about their opening and I wondered if I should go ahead with the call. Our firm told everyone no bonuses this year due to the pandemic. However, people like myself with high utilization received a “bonus” in terms of a gift card. My director notified me of this, but the other day my boss was mentioning how no bonuses this year really sucks. I was told by the director to not mention it to anyone but I figured if anyone knew I got one it’d be my boss. I feel super uncomfortable now because do I essentially lie to my boss because I’m not supposed to talk about it.
