I tried to negotiate my salary, and the recruiter basically shut me down. They told me they wanted to start on the right foot, and they made it feel like I was being difficult by asking. I really want the job, but that reaction felt like a huge guilt trip. What should I do in this situation? I’m not sure if I should try one more time or if I’m already on their bad side.
