Been there before, it’s easy to *only* be self critical, instead of also tallying the wins you have in your life: your health, your career, a network of people around you (even if they’re not physically around the corner). And sorry to hear about the separation, hopefully it’s the difficult but right call in the end? And when I told someone I had no friends they asked me what I did to put myself in a position to meet new potential friends, which took a second to click but i found really helpful. I was only going to bars, and shifted to volunteering and doing my hobbies so I was automatically in a space with ppl who liked what I liked to do). That helped tremendously.
Hi I’m 33 and in a similar situation, separating from my husband and almost all the friends I hang out with are his friends. Totally with you on the existential feeling and here if you want to chat or just want someone to listen
I also feel like I am going to be alone the rest of my life. I have never been in a serious relationship, and now at 46 I am still alone. Hopefully we are both wrong & things will turn out better than we think they will. Sorry to hear about your separation. I hope you get some healing and relief soon.
Being alone is not bad.
What city?
I have a couple friends in the Dallas area I’m sure would love to meet you! Feel free to DM
