Wait are you me? Lol but seriously I feel this so you’re not alone.
First off, comparison is the thief of joy - and comparison becomes so easy in the age of ig, LinkedIn, and even fishbowl. I am cutting out ig, and after recruitment cycle which I’m supporting rn, I want to spend time off LinkedIn. Fish bowl is entertaining but becomes an echo chamber which is not always great.
2 - set realistic goals - what are YOU working towards and really want?
3 - take action - you have those goals, you may need to make sacrifices on eating out, travel etc. It’s a delayed gratification vs. Instant and we live in an instantaneous world.
4 - know you’re not alone. Talk with like minded folks and keep yourself motivated.
It’s not a race D2, things take time. I’m sure you’re doing great.
Since moving to Canada, I’ve maintain peace with savings goals / aspirations by drastically lowering my ambitions. 😅😅
Oh and I should add be kind to yourself, you’re doing great.
29 and same, moved to Canada at 14, worked my way up from unemployment to labour job to big 4 to 6 figures but I feel just as financially stressed as I did at 14, being a single income and all

Breath. It what helps me sometimes with dealing from it. The last few years have been…”special” aside from that. One foot in front of the other. Perspective is key. Remember where you came from and where you are now. If you are progressing. That’s everything. Keeping One foot in front of the other, is still progress.
Side hustle is the only way to rise above, can’t curtail the needs to be frugal
Yeah it’s more my goals & expectations from friends / fam keep me stressed about capital allocation & being behind for my age
